Install the Follow-Me printer for Mac

Before you begin: Ensure the Mac system is logged into the HvA network. 

1. Download here the Follow-Me printer for Mac.
2. Put the file in a folder that is available to all users of the Mac.
   Tip: Use the shared folder: Macintosh HD:Users:Shared.
3. Choose Apple menu>  System Settings > [Printers & Scanners].
4. Click the plus-button (+) to add the new printer. 
5. Click the [IP] tab ( or ).
6. Enter in the [Adres / Address] field: <HvA-ID>@LB.ps17.mycanonprint.nl
   
   Where you replace <HvA-ID> with your personal user name on the HvA network.
   For example: [e-mail]
   
   
7. Select in the [Protocol] field: [Line Printer Daemon – LPD]
8. Enter in the [Wachtrij / Queue] field: [MacFollow-Me]
9. Enter in the [Naam / Name] field: [HvA Follow-Me]
10. Enter in the [Locatie / Location] field: [HvA]
11. Select in the [Gebruik / Use] field: [Other].
    
    
    
    
12. Browse to the .ppd file you have downloaded and click [Open].
13. Click [Add].
14. Click [Continue] if the following message appears.
    
    

14. Set the printer settings. Then click [OK].

       

15. Set the HvA Follow-Me printer as the default printer. Control-click the new printer and select [Set Default Printer].

16. You can now delete the downloaded file.
17. The Follow-Me printer is now ready for use.
