This instruction applies when you are logged in with your Windows computer on the HvA
network.
Note: In Windows 11, you may experience problems installing the HvA/UvA Follow-Me Printer (error message: 0x00000bc4 or 0x00000709).
- Open the start menu and select Run (or use the shortcut Windows key + R).
- Enter the following link: \\LB.ps17.mycanonprint.nl.
Note: When a security warning appears, click ‘Allow’ to proceed. - Fill in your HvA-ID@hva.nl (*) and password. (When required).
Important! When you use a private Windows computer you must also enter the domain name (ad.hva.nl), and behind the domain name you must only enter your HvA-ID (so without @hva.nl): ad.hva.nl\HvA-ID.
- Check the “Remember my credentials” option.
- Click on ‘Follow-Me’. Use the right mouse button and choose “Connect”.
Note: It may take a while before the printer driver appears.
- To set the ‘Follow-Me’ as your default printer:
Windows 10:
- Open the Start menu.
- Click Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Make sure the option “Let Windows manage my default printer” is not selected .
- Select the installed Follow-Me printer and then select the Manage button.
- In the Manage your device window, under Printer status, select the [Set as default] button. The printer status changes to Default.
- You are now ready to use the Canon printers from your applications!

Problems printing or connecting to the shared printer (BYOD users): error message 0x0000011b
1. Go to Windows Credential Manager and delete the entry for the PSxx domain.
2. Reconnect to the shared printer
3. Check “Remember my credentials” when the pop-up screen for username and password is displayed.
You can launch Credentials Manager without using your mouse and clicking on options or the context menu using the Run command box. Repeat the following steps:
- Press Win + R to launch the Run command box.
- Type control /name Microsoft.CredentialManager in the text input box and press Enter.
- Credential Manager will open in a separate control panel window.
